Robert Pekin

Robert is a former farmer and loves life probably a little too much. He has developed and operated Community Supported Agriculture farms (CSA’s) across Australia. In his time he has owned a 300 cow Organic (in conversion) Dairy, managed and set up several highly intensive Market Gardens and managed a 3,500 acre property in North Eastern NSW along sustainable principles.

Robert is passionate about the joys of farming and country life. However, he has witnessed first hand the impact rural decline has had on communities all across Australia. This is why he does what he does. Being a Capricorn, he is determined and persistent, some would say stubborn and foolish.

Robert is the Founding Coordinator of Food Connect, always has a grin on his face, is always happy to see you, and plays a mean game of table tennis.

Food Connect now currently employs 26 fabulous folk and has over 70 'City Cousins'. In the next little while they all will be profiled right here
