Although we are a fairly humble food distribution / food advocacy organisation we get inspired by so many things happening around the world. From bicycle culture to the pioneers of the agrarian movement, from the early subscribers of Food Connect to the educational wonders of the digital age. Here is just a sample of what keeps us motivated about what we do.

OUR PARTNERS

Tom Lane – a long term partner of Food connect, Tom has worked tirelessly on our ordering system and other IT bugs. Thanks Tom!
Stojan Ignjatovic – a great help with our finances, Stojan has provided Food Connect with low cost services from the beginning, keeping our books in order.
iTANK - a fabulous design invention studio in New Farm, who have given us massive help with our new website.
Subgroup Design – an award-winning studio in St. Kilda, Melbourne, who created our beautiful new visual identity system.
Mel Kettle Consulting – Mel is one of our city cousins, and also runs a boutique marketing company in Brisbane, specialising in strategic marketing and communication. She has provided us with heaps of helpful advice regarding marketing.
Kelly Hussey-Smith – who took most of the shots for our fruit and vegetable gallery.
Graham’s Meats - Paul and Sue Graham are the original farmers of Food Connect and went out of their way to support us and openly accepted subscribers onto their farm in the early days. They supply delicious Organic pasture-fed lamb and beef as well as providing Food Connect with veggies for our boxes.
QUT Urban Informatics – Professor Marcus Foth, Jaz Choi and their colleagues at QUT are partnering with Food Connect, James Street Cooking School, and Cityfood Growers to apply ubiquitous technology in helping consumers transition to sustainable habits.  Commencing early 2010, it’s going to be a three year journey and we’re looking forward to seeing what these whizzes come up with!
