To the many wonderful farmers of QLD… For the past several weeks, before I begin to eat a delicious meal prepared with produce beautifully provided by you, I say a silent ” thank you ” to you. All of the hard work and sacrifices you make are appreciated EVERY DAY. I cannot think of a more important or worthy job than farming. Tank you for all you do… and for doing it so well. I just wanted to say a big thankyou to the farmers who supply the vegetables I get every week. I love opening up the box, and seeing what’s been put in for the week.

I grew up on a farm and know how much hard work goes into growing food. The vegetables I have gotten have been fantastic every time and full of flavour. Everyone should be using Food Connect!

Big thank you to the farmer who grows the dutch cream potatoes! Ever since I came to Australia from Germany I have been desperate to find waxy, yellow, TASTY potatoes!

Also, the cherry tomatoes were sensational!

As are the peanuts, which we tried for the first time.

Last – please bring back the golden kiwis! Was it such a short season? We NEED them!

Very yummy! The gherkins add a nice tartness to this recipe. The potatoes take on the colour of the beetroot, it’s very fuschia pink!
