Stojan Ignjatovic

Stojan has been involved with Food Connect from the beginning, providing us with free and low cost accounting services. It is people like Stojan who have provided the behind the scenes assistance that allows all of us subscribers to eat fresh, nutritious local food. He originally became involved with Food Connect because of its community focus. This fits in with his philosophy of life that we are all much happier and joyful when embedded within community. As Stojan so eloquently put it, “This is a group building community through the food we eat. I wanted to be part of this.” In addition to the importance of community, he also feels that the person who is doing the hard work of producing food, the farmer, should get better financial rewards than those currently provided by the mainstream food system.

Stojan has worked as an accountant for just under a decade. Recently, he has opened up his own practice in Toowong. He feels it is important that, like Food Connect, his business is community oriented. At this stage he is providing low cost services to help those in need, and is thinking about ways that this can be broadened into the wider community.
