Why choose Food Connect?

We save you money - lots of money! Our fruit and veggies are competitively priced, while still giving farmers a fair cut. There are many other ways you save money with us. Did you know that the average shopper spends $15 more every time they go shopping for food on stuff they did not need? None of that here!

We are more than local – not just Australian produce but Brisbane regional produce! We source 99% of our produce from within an average of three hours from Brisbane. Actually the only produce we get from outside SEQ is one of our coffees and that is because it is the best.

As fresh as can be – our farmers harvest their produce at the weekend and through the week, and deliver it to our Homestead on Mondays – Thursdays. Our boxes are packed Tuesdays – Thursdays so you get the freshest food around.

We are easy & flexible – on-line ordering; plan your deliveries in advance; great pick up locations at 70 City Cousins around Brisbane (not to mention how cool they are).

Nothing artificial added – actually hardly anything added at all. You don’t have to squint at the writing on the packaging here at Food Connect (where there is packaging). The juice is just juice! The peanut butter is just crushed peanuts! We don’t even add water to anything (except the magnificent Macleayshire Sauce).

We are super friendly - Our Conversation (sales) team and City Cousins (pick up location people) are the friendliest, most helpful people on earth. We are determined to assist you to get away from your supermarket habit (and we are bloody good looking too!).

We cut your greenhouse emissions by 95% – did you know that the average Australian household weekly food basket travels 71,000 km? With us it is down to around 3,000 – 4,000 km. Amazing.

We are different – not only are we setting new benchmarks in how a food distribution business should work, we are also a part of the world-wide movement to secure our food systems.

We love our farmers and they love us – Our farmers receive and average of 55% of the retail price. This is way above the 9-15% farm-gate price the rest of the industry pays.
